In honor of turning 24 years old last week, I wanted to dedicate a post to 24 things that I have learned over the past year. There are definitely ALOT more than 24 lessons learned but I wanted to share with you the ones that stand out to me the most. So here it goes!
1. Your quality of life is equivalent to the quality of your relationships.
2. Always take care of yourself first.
3. Find the things you're most passionate about, the things that set your heart on fire. When you find those things, everyday feels like a gift.
4. Kindness matters. It doesn't take much to be kind. Even the smallest act of kindness can have an enormous positive impact on others and your own happiness.
5. Life is shitty sometimes, it's 1% of what happens to you, 99% how your respond to it.
6. Your journey is unique to you, and that is so exciting. Don't compare where you are in life to others, your time will come. Trust in God and his plan for you. Jeremiah 29:11
7. Pain is temporary. Be authentic, open and vulnerable; it can help heal emotional pain.
8. Always listen to your own intuition and only consider the opinions of others.
9. There is nothing you can do about it tonight, and worrying sure won't change a thing.
10. It's completely okay to be impulsive, it keeps life interesting.
11. True love does last forever.
12. Always be thankful for where you are right now.
13. LAUGH as much as you can.
14. Keep your circle small.
15. Invest your money into experiences, not things
16. You will have failures, that okay. Don't give up.
17. Being present is SO important. Get off your phone and enjoy each moment to it's fullest.
18. It's okay to say no, and it's okay to say yes.
19. Practice gratitude daily.
20. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
21. Live and let live.
22. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
23. Travel and see the world as much as you can, while you're young.
24. Don't pay attention to negativity. & always try to spread love and radiate positivity where ever you go.
It's okay to not have it all figured out at 24 years old. Life is about learning, we are constantly learning how to be better. No one said this adulting thing was going to be easy, and life definitely does not come with a "how to" handbook. 24 is going to be a good one, there are so many exciting things coming up and I can't wait to share them with you. Until next time.
xoxo
